With local trails very clearly marked it is easy to hop on a bike and go and explore. Local Tourist Information offices all provide guides for you to choose your route. The guides also describe some notable sights to look out for. With cycling being such a popular sport here in France you will often meet local cyclists on your route or especially in the local cafes/bars as you stop off for well deserved refreshments.
