Labarde's family of Roe Deer

Updated: Nov 22, 2019

There aren't many things that beat waking up early, just before sunrise as the mist is lifting and sharing your morning cup of tea with a family of Roe Deer. Especially ones that have also decided to make the gardens at Labarde their daily breakfast spot. Luckily they seem happy to leave the trees alone and are quite content to munch away at the grass while we sit and admire them.

They did used to run away as soon as we were spotted, but they seem to have got used to the smell of my builders tea and are happy to let me share their space.

Fingers crossed they hang around, I'll miss them when they decide to move on. However with spring arriving, their passing by is getting earlier and earlier. I'm not sure who will break first? Me or the deer.
